Situated in the heart of DDO, Le Chateau Royal senior residence has both autonomous (independent living) and semi-autonomous apartments (with some care services).

Le Château Royal senior residence offers a condo-style living environment with care services. It is designed for active seniors who value independent living in an excellent location and for those who require additional support and attention. The community features private apartments in a range of sizes, from studios to full suites, for residents seeking independent or semi-independent accommodations. Wheelchair-accessible units and showers are also available.

All common areas are located on the same bright and welcoming floor, making them easily accessible for seniors.

Residence Le Chateau Royal offers a wide variety of care and convenience services, from regular medication distribution to skilled nursing assistance. For simplicity, all utilities – telephone, electricity and cable television – and other services including meals, are included in the rent.

Our autonomous living apartments are ideal for seniors who want apartment living freedom in a facility that is designed for them. Our apartment units have convenient kitchenettes, and all utilities are included for your convenience.

Our philosophy is that safety comes first. Restricted entrances are just the start of ensuring our resident’s safety in their home. Our staff is trained on how to respond to common emergency medical emergencies, how to safely evacuate residences if needed, and on when to call for emergency medical care.

Monitoring services operate 24/7 to ensure resident safety, with smoke detectors remotely supervised by our security center.

All residents are equipped with mobile emergency watches, keeping help within reach at any time of day or night.

Please raise any special needs and concerns with our staff. Communicating with us allows us to work with you to ensure you or your loved one are safe and feel secure.

Our medical support team helps our residents meet their daily physical, social and psychological needs, and provides adjunct support services as needed. Our staff works closely with the families of our residents as well as their family physicians to monitor their status.

On a regular basis, residents are evaluated by the Director of Nursing to monitor any health issues and address any new issues or changes. Medical records are continuously updated and our medical staff is available to answer your questions and address the concerns that you and your family may have.

In case of severe medical problems requiring hospitalization, our nursing staff communicates with Urgences-santé to transfer the resident as soon as possible.

The resident’s medical record, health insurance card and hospital card are handed by us to the ambulance team. On the resident’s return, the director of nursing reassesses his/her needs to ensure that the appropriate care services are administered to promote a speedy recovery.

Medical examinations are held regularly and medication management services are also offered in our semi-autonomous properties. Many of our senior residences also have nurses on site.
