Medical Care

The medical team is a crucial part of our staff at LRM senior residences, and a variety of levels of medical care services are provided, depending on the resident’s personal needs.

Many of our facilities have a Director of Nursing who is a registered nurse and coordinates in-house and visiting medical professionals. The Director of Nursing manages our in-house nursing assistants and caregivers to provide a complete care program tailored to our residents’ needs. In all of our assisted care and advanced care facilities, nursing personnel are on duty 24 hours a day.

Regular Medical Assessments

Our medical support team helps our residents meet their daily physical, social and psychological needs, and provides adjunct support services as needed. Our staff works closely with the families of our residents as well as their family physicians to monitor their status.

On a regular basis, residents are evaluated by the Director of Nursing to monitor any health issues and address any new issues or changes. Medical records are continuously updated and our medical staff is available to answer your questions and address the concerns that you and your family may have.

Our Mission

Groupe LRM residences are designed to allow seniors to live in comfort, safety, and independence. With a thoroughly trained staff, and a selection of accommodation types, our goal is to provide an ideal setting for seniors to live and thrive.

Regular Medical Examinations

Medical examinations are held regularly and medication management services are also offered in our semi-autonomous properties. Many of our senior residences have nurses on site and as well as a pharmacy or pharmaceutical desk in the building.

Some of our senior homes have a care unit for residents whose health requires special attention on a temporary or long-term basis. Our qualified personnel are always present to provide various support services and take good care of you.

In Case of Hospitalization

In case of severe medical problems requiring hospitalization, our nursing staff communicates with Urgences-santé to transfer the resident as soon as possible.

The resident’s medical record, health insurance card and hospital card are handed by us to the ambulance team. On the resident’s return, the director of nursing reassesses his/her needs to ensure that the appropriate care services are administered to promote a speedy recovery.

Activities at Your Level

Staying physically active, exercising regularly, and participating in leisure activities can help prevent or delay many diseases and gives new energy to residents.

Our staff apply therapeutic recreation principles to all of our activity programs. Striving to foster a high quality of life they provide our residents with an assortment of worthwhile activities and entertainment that promote personal growth, happiness and freedom.

Two physical activities suitable for most residents are walking and gardening.

Participation from volunteers, family and friends is always welcome and encouraged. For planned outings, our facility has a bus for our residents’ convenience. We also take advantage of the many opportunities to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, the seasons and events in our own community and the community around us.

While we encourage our residents be active and involved, we also respect our resident’s rights to privacy when they wish it.

For seven years that I’m here, I get the care I am very satisfied. The food is good.
